Time to seize the day

The sun may be shining and the temperatures are certainly getting warmer – but I sense a cold, numbing wind is already blowing through our country.
Whatever is he talking about, I hear you ask? It’s this: nothing really seems like it did a few years ago. And when I say ‘nothing’, I really mean it.

For starters, I know many people who continue to be terrified at the thought of mixing openly with others in the new-norm world we find ourselves living in.

While some of the young people I know remain focused and driven, an equal number are listless, lacking direction – and are entirely without hope. In my 56 years, I can never remember it being like this, even during the dark years of the 1980s.
ON HIS LONESOME: more and more offices are deserted places in the business world these days.
In the work environment, a significant number of people don’t want to do their jobs in an office environment anymore, preferring the comfort of home to anything an employer can offer.
