Known to millions of people as ace detective, Hercule Poirot, the actor Sir David Suchet is set to take on a role he regards as a real \u2018privilege\u2019 \u2013 reading the gospel of St John\u2019s from Westminster Abbey on Easter Sunday.
\nIn a world premiere, Sir David will read the whole of the book on the Abbey\u2019s YouTube channel from the Jerusalem Chamber. The broadcast will be available from 4 pm on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n

\u2018I count it as a great privilege to be filmed reading St John\u2019s Gospel in the iconic Jerusalem Chamber of Westminster Abbey,\u2019 commented the actor.<\/p>\n

The reading is to be made available without charge and will remain online after the unveiling of the premiere.

\nThe Dean of Westminster Abbey, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle, is delighted to secure the services of the famous thespian, who became a Christian in 1986 after reading a Gideon Bible in a hotel room.<\/p>\n
