{"id":8067,"date":"2021-03-16T14:40:05","date_gmt":"2021-03-16T14:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/runyourownwebsite.uk\/sorteddev\/?p=8067"},"modified":"2021-03-25T22:01:53","modified_gmt":"2021-03-25T22:01:53","slug":"gear-up-for-motor-mania","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/runyourownwebsite.uk\/sorteddev\/gear-up-for-motor-mania\/","title":{"rendered":"Gear up for motor mania"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Fans of BBC1\u2019s <em>Top Gear<\/em> show will have seen hosts Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris taken back to their teenage years last weekend \u2013 when the intrepid trio put three vintage cars under the microscope.<\/h2>\n<p>Two of the motors that featured in Sunday\u2019s show \u2013 a Ford Cortina driven by Flintoff and McGuniness\u2019 Ford Fiesta \u2013 are now available to be put through their paces, courtesy of a new Midlands-based venture.<\/p>\n<p>Set to open later this year, when the pandemic permits, the Great British Car Journey attraction will be based between Derby and Matlock \u2013 and it will feature the Drive Dad\u2019s Car offer, allowing petrol heads from far and wide to get behind the wheel of over 30 iconic cars manufactured between 1930 and 1990.<\/p>\n<p>Founder Richard Usher, who is a former owner of Auto Windscreens and Blyton Park Circuit, believes there will be big demand for his new business.<\/p>\n<h3>Emotional segment<\/h3>\n<p>\u2018Britain was at the forefront of motoring for 100 years,\u2019 he said. \u2018Our cars changed the world and remain iconic to this day.
