This week, as the UK Parliament returns from its summer recess, MPs find themselves confronted with the tough decisions they have made, decisions about Afghanistan and their role on the global stage as well as plans to reform our social care system, writes Gwyn Williams.
\nYet in the midst of new policy and votes, the government\u2019s choice to cut the annual foreign aid budget by \u00a34 billion will not go forgotten or unchallenged. As we continue to see the deepening needs around the world our response as a nation must remain at the forefront of our minds.<\/p>\n

The cuts were characterised as \u2018inhumane\u2019, \u2018immoral\u2019, \u2018unethical\u2019. Less money means fewer children fed, fewer families lifted out of poverty, more preventable deaths. As Christians, we were heartbroken by this apparent lack of compassion for those in such desperate need and as parliament returns, we need to continue to hold them to account.<\/p>\n

But, as we see the different needs of communities around the world, I find myself asking: is it...<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
