\u2018When people enjoy a snack in the UK, they can be confident in a child receiving a nutritious meal in return,\u2019 commented Stretton-Downes. \u2018We are delighted play our small part in ending child hunger in our lifetime, enabling the next generation of thinkers to be equipped with good food as they learn!\u2019<\/p>\n
The company is committed to making financial donation to Mary\u2019s Meals every time one of its products is purchased. Although the precise donation amount hasn\u2019t been revealed, it is known that in the UK, the provision of a hot, nutritious meal costs as little as 25 pence. Elsewhere in the world, this cost is likely to be lower.<\/p>\n
Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, founder and CEO of Mary\u2019s Meals, added: \u2018What\u2019s important to us is the hungry child. When there are hungry children in front of us today, we\u2019re going to feed them, and at the same time we\u2019re going to work on the solution to getting them fed in the long term, creating a global movement of people who believe in this vision.\u2019<\/p>\n
