A bartender-turned-vicar has said his online \u2018Pimm\u2019s and Hymns\u2019 sing-a-long sessions have been \u2018a real light in the darkness\u2019 during lockdown.
\nFather Lee Taylor, the vicar at St Collen\u2019s Church in Llangollen, North Wales, invited his flock to join him in a live get-together on Facebook when his pews fell silent due to Covid-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n

Launched in March 2020, and now taking place every Sunday, the sessions, attract not just locals \u2013 but songbirds from as far away as South Africa, Canada and Brazil.<\/p>\n

\u2018The online audience has just exploded,\u2019 Mr Taylor said. \u2018I get phone calls, emails and letters from people all over the world, saying I\u2019ve lifted their spirits and asking me to pray for loved ones who are sick with the virus.\u2019<\/p>\n

The musical vicar also revealed he is fond of keeping \u2018a libation\u2019 on the top of his piano.<\/p>\n
