Run Your Own Website is the brainchild of Access by Design.

We have been building beautiful, bespoke, accessible websites since 2006.

Every website we have ever built has the same level of care and dedication because we love what we do!

We love giving our clients websites that they fall in love with and really enjoy being able to manage them, without it being a stressful experience.

The reason we do this is we believe our clients want to just run their businesses with the minimum amount of fuss and hassle.

Every client is different and yet they often have same frustrations

Some of our clients take to managing their websites easily and with little help from us. Some of them prefer to be given ongoing training and support, some of them just do not have the time to run their own website and are happier paying us to look after it for them. We have always worked this way, we do not believe anyone should be forced to manage their website if they do not want to.

When we first started in 2006, we asked customers what were the biggest frustrations they had when it came to their website. Time and time again the answers came back were the same: people resented having to pay for simple changes to be made to their websites and even when they did pay for them, the web designer would take a long time to do them.

We understand both of these frustrations well and they shaped our approach to our websites, we always wanted to encourage our customers to take control of their own websites but within a safe environment. So few of our clients had been given any form of training previously and were often bewildered by websites that they did not understand.

Run Your Own Website has always had the goal of allowing our clients to have a detailed level of control over their websites but in the simplest possible way. Now we have developed Version 2, the level of control our clients have is more akin to some of our bespoke websites. Most of our clients just want to add a blog and maybe change some images but, should they ever want to do anything more, it is at their fingertips.

This is why we do what we do. This is in our DNA. We want to make the world a more accessible place, whether that is through helping our clients manage their websites more easily or helping their customers find what they want on their websites more easily, we want to take the stress out of it and give everyone the best experience possible.
