The website address will become: <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><u>kingsenglishsociety.org<\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Why the change? <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Four years ago, the Society began to consider the course it should take following the inevitable death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Sentiment at that time steered the members towards wanting to keep the name unchanged indefinitely. Since the Queen\u2019s death in September 2022, the Society has noticed a marked downturn in applications for membership.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">\u201c<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">It\u2019s simple,\u201d says Chairman Adrian Williams. \u201cMost of our new members find us via the Society\u2019s website. Before now, they have found the website by searching \u2018Queen\u2019s English\u2019. Now they\u2019re searching \u2018King\u2019s English\u2019 \u2013 and not finding us. We need new members, to keep the Society<\/span><\/span><\/span> <span style=\"color: #000000\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">active and growing in its mission to promote worldwide appreciation of the English language.
